Findings
The Alleged Victim (AV) is care planned to have an air mattress that requires electricity plugged in and properly working in order to aid in the healing of pressure sores. On or about November 14, 2019, it was found that the air mattress had been unplugged and the AV was found to be having unreasonable discomfort, it was determined the cause of the pain was the air mattress not being inflated properly. The facility failed to follow AV’s care plan to keep the air mattress plugged in while he/she was in bed. The facility’s failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
