- Alleged Victim (AV) requires facility assistance with medication administration. Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) signed out medications on the controlled substance sheets however did not sign the medication out on the medication administration record, fourteen times in December 2019 and January 2020. Upon review AP2 was signing out more narcotic medication than other med techs, and she/he was signing out medications in area where he/she didn't normally work. Alleged Perpetrator 3 (AP3) initialed the MAR on December 21st and 31st, 2019 that were not signed out on the controlled medication sheet. AP3 signed out medications on the controlled sheet five times but did not sign the medications out on the medication administration record. AP2 and AP3's misappropriation of medication is considered financial exploitation and constitutes abuse. The facility to have a system in place that identifies discrepancies with the medication administration system which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
