Findings
The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure Alleged Victim's (AV) pain medication was administered as ordered. On or about February 1, 2020, a new script for AV's pain medication was ordered. An investigation determined that AV was given pain medication every two (2) hours as a daily dose instead of as a PRN as ordered by AV's doctor. The facility's failure to administer AV's medication as ordered caused AV to have an adverse reaction which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
