Findings
Alleged Victim (AV) was evaluated by the facility to self administer his/her own medication. Per the evaluation it was determined AV could not safely administer his/her own medication. On or about January 24, 2020, the facility requested a doctor script so AV could administer his/her own medication. The doctor responded with a script stating AV could not administer his/her own medication. On or about February 8, 2020, AV overdosed on his/her medication and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The facility failed to care plan in accordance with the assessment, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
