Findings
Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medication. AV was prescribed Torsemide 20 mg, two (2) tablets daily to remove fluid, he/she is also prescribed Spironolactone 25 mg, one (1) tablet daily for heart failure. Between September 3rd, through 11th, 2019, the facility did not administer AV’s Torsemide and Spironolactone. On or about September 12, 2019, AV’s Personal Care Physician (PCP) requested an urgent medical visit with AV due to AV not receiving his/her Torsemide and Spironolactone. The facility failed to administer AV’s ordered medication, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitute abuse.
