- Alleged Victim (AV) service plan states that the facility will re-order AV's medications in a timely manner to ensure that AV's medication are administered as ordered by his/her physician. Between June 1, 2020 and August 5, 2020, the facility ran out of nine (9) of AV's prescription medications, on eleven (11) separate occasions. On or about July 22, 2020, AV was treated at the emergency room for uncontrolled pain. AV was treated with Lyrica, which was prescribed to AV on July 16, 2020 by his/her physician. The facility did not obtain or administer Lyrica to AV until July 28, 2020. The facility ran out of AV's prescription sleep aid from August 1, 2020 to August 4, 2020, at which time AV suffered from sleeplessness as a result. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
