Findings
Alleged Victim (AV) was care planned for staff to administer and re-order all of AV's medications. AV took as needed medication one and two on a daily basis, for insomnia/pain, and muscle spasms. AV's medication administration record shows a three (3) day gap in AV receiving his/her medications with no explanation for the gap. AV reported experiencing pain and muscle tension due to not receiving his/her as needed medication. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
