- Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medication. AV had a prescription of Oxycodone for pain to be administer three (3) time per day. AV’s Oxycodone was filled on October 2, 2020, in quantity of 90, October 25, 2020, in quantity of 19, October 30, 2020, in quantity of 16 and November 2, 2020, in quantity of 120. Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) administered AV’s Oxycodone between November 2nd through November 11, 2020. On or about November 11, 2020, AV’s documented quantity of Oxycodone left was 30. There was no narcotic log for AV’s Oxycodone prior to November 11, 2020. The facility has a policy for checking-in narcotic medications, but this policy was not being followed. AP2 and the facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
