Findings
On or about December 12, 2020, the Alleged Victim (AV) had requested on three occasions to have immodium for his/her upset stomach. Staff failed to either pass along information or to get the medication for the AV. AV had an accident, tried to clean up in his/her bathroom, requested staff to clean his/her room, which they advised AV that no one could clean his/her room until Monday when cleaning staff came to work. AV was taken to the hospital by family, where he/she was found to be dehydrated needing intravenous fluids and also had a urinary tract infection. AV experienced unreasonable discomfort by not receiving his/her medication as requested. The facility failed to have AV's medication readily available for him/her, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
