Findings
On or about December 9, 2020, Alleged Victim (AV) reported missing six collector coins from his/her room. AV's room was searched by multiple staff unsuccessfully. AV stated that he/she looked at them almost daily and feeling frustrated and disappointed they were taken. It is believed the coins were taken by an unknown staff member, Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2), which is considered financial exploitation and constitutes abuse. The facility provided a locking cabinet however the keys for the cabinet were not made available to AV. The facility failed to protect AV from financial exploitation, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
