Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about February 5, 2021, Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2), reported he/she was on the elevator with AV and AP2 felt threatened by the expression on AV’s face and AP2 said to AV, “Don’t do it or I can and will kick you ass”. AP2’s actions are considered verbal abuse, which is neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to protect AV from verbal abuse, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-03209 $250.00 fine assessed
