Findings
Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about February 24, 2022, AV complained of insomnia, went to the emergency department, and was prescribed medication to help him/her sleep. Once back at the facility, AV asked for the sleep medication but was told it would not be administered. As a result, AV started to yell and became upset. AV then eloped the facility and returned to a home he/she owns. The facility failed monitor and provide oversight in AV’s change in mental condition, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
