Findings
The Alleged Victim (AV) takes medication daily to control his/her seizure events. The facility ran out of AV's seizure medication on April 8, 2022, causing AV to miss at least two days of medication. During the month of April, there were numerous days of either missed medication, extra doses of medication or the incorrect dosage of medication. On or about April 11, 2022, AV had a seizure and was taken to the hospital. The facility failed to ensure AV's medication administration was current and accurate, leading to AV suffering a seizure. The facilities failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
