Findings
The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure the Alleged Victims (AV) medication orders were administered as prescribed. AV was prescribed a new pain medication on or about August 02, 2022. AV did not receive the pain medication until approximately August 23, 2022, which resulted in AV being in pain for an extended period of time. The facility’s failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
