Findings
Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medication. AV did not receive his/her narcotic pain medication on three (3) occasions in July 2022, once in August 2022 and three occasions in September 2022. On or about July 31, 2022, AV went to the hospital due to chest pain and possible withdrawal symptoms from not having his/her narcotics medications. There was no physician communication provided regarding AV’s medication in July and August 2022. AV did not receive his/her blood thinner medication on or about August 1st, 30th or 31st, 2022, for reasons unknown, according to the MAR. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
