Findings
On or about December 2, 2022, the Alleged Victim (AV) was noted to have a temperature of approximately 101, was congested and losing his/her voice. AV was placed on alert due to cold but was not assessed by the facility RN. On or about December 3, 2022, AV stayed in bed all day, which was out of AV's baseline. On or about December 4, 2022, AV was sent to the hospital due to a fire in his/her bathroom, and worries of smoke inhalation. When AV arrived at the hospital, AV was having trouble breathing and was found to have a urinary tract and multiple organ infections. The facility's failure to monitor AV's condition and ensure timely medical treatment is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
