Findings
On or about December 8, 2022, the Alleged Victim’s (AV) Narcotic medication had been discontinued, however, it had not been destroyed. On or about December 9, 2022, 30 narcotic pills belonging to AV were found to be missing. Alleged Perpetrator #3 (AP3, unknown) took AV’s medication, and his/her actions are considered theft of property which constitutes financial abuse. The facility failed to ensure medication was properly destroyed resulting in AV’s medication being taken by an unknown perpetrator, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
