Findings
The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure the AV's medication was administered as ordered. The failure resulted in AV missing several doses of his/her eye medication over several days, causing him/her to report pain and discomfort due to the error, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
