- According to the documentation, the facility failed to properly care plan for the Alleged Victim’s (AV) catheter tube becoming twisted/knotted causing urine retention. Before July 15, 2023, there was an incident where the catheter tubing for the AV was found twisted/knotted causing urine retention resulting in pain and unreasonable discomfort. On or about July 15, 2023, the AV was found with their catheter tubing twisted/knotted causing urine retention resulting in pain and unreasonable discomfort. The failure to properly care plan appropriate timely interventions to prevent catheter tubing to become twisted/knotted caused pain and unreasonable discomfort, which is a violation of resident rights is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
