Findings
The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure Alleged Victim (AV)’s medication was available to be administered as ordered. According to an investigation, AV did not receive his/her antidepressant medication for approximately 7 days, which resulted in AV experiencing withdrawal symptoms. The facility’s failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
