- Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about January 1, 2024, AV told staff that $24.00 was missing from their wallet. AV said the money went missing during the night of December 31, 2023. On the morning of January 1, 2024, AV saw that staff had returned AV’s laundry and that AV was missing the money. AV did not see anyone going through AV’s wallet. Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) was later identified as working that night. On or about January 8, 2024, AV said $23.00 was taken from AV’s wallet during that prior night. AP2 did not work between January 7th, through 11th, 2024 and was not seen within the facility between those days. There have been several reported thefts by other residents of the facility. It is believed and unknown Alleged Perpetrator 3 (AP3) is suspected of being associated with thefts from AV. AP3 failed to protect AV from financial exploitation, which neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to protect AV from financial exploitation, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
