Findings
The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. According to an investigation, on or about March 31, 2024, AV did not receive anticoagulant medication as ordered for clot prevention. AV did not receive the physician ordered medication from March 31, 2024, through April 6, 2024, as the medication was not available, resulting in AV having a stroke and being hospitalized. The facility failed to provide a safe medication system, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
