Findings
The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure The Alleged Victim’s (AV) medications were administered as ordered. On or about May 11, 2024, Alleged Victim (AV), did not receive his/her 2pm dose of seizure medication as ordered. Based on facility documentation and interviews, AV is unable to take food or medication by mouth, AV can only take food and medication via his/her G-tube. At time of incident, there was no delegated staff available at the facility to administer AV's seizure medication. AV was placed a risk of serious harm as result of not receiving his/her seizure medication as ordered which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
