Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) has a history of banging on doors. On or about June 6, 2024, AV spent the morning banging on doors with AV’s arm and fist which included the kitchen door. Approximately two (2) hours after banging on doors all morning, AV’s left arm and wrist had marks. The only interventions listed in the care plan is for staff to makes jokes or offer AV a snack. The facility failed to provide a safe environment for AV, leading AV to sustain marks due to him/her banging on the doors, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-01185 $500.00 fine assessed
