- Alleged Victim (AV) is care planned for staff to provide management and safe administration of AV’s scheduled and PRN medications. AV has an order of (narcotic pain medication) to be administered 0.5 to1 tablet (2.5 MG to 5MG) by mouth every six (6) hours, not to exceed six (6) tablets in 24 hours. On or about September 15, 2024, Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) administered AV two (2) tablets (10 MG), at 12:25 AM, one (1) tablet (5 MG) at 4:11 AM, and two (2) tablets (10 MG) at 6:57 PM of AV’s (narcotic pain medication). The administration of medication exceeded the max amount allowed per AV’s medication administration instructions of a max of 5MG every six (6) hours. Per a medical professional statement, AP2 administered AV additional doses of AV’s as needed (narcotic pain medication), which placed AV at risk of serious harm. AP2 failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to assure AV received a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
