Findings
The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. According to an investigation, AV did not receive multiple doses of sleep/insomnia medication as ordered starting on or about November 25, 2024, through December 31, 2024. AV was not administered multiple doses of carbidopa-levodopa as ordered between September and December 2024. The facility failed to ensure medications were administered as ordered and failed to ensure proper documentation of medications, resulting in unreasonable discomfort and increased restlessness for AV. The facility failed to provide a safe medication system, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
