- Alleged Victim (AV) is a resident of a memory care facility and relies on facility staff to ensure basic care, safety and supervision needs are met. AV's service plan dated on or about February 20, 2025, indicates AV is no longer able to manage AV's medication AP1 Staff are to order, store, and safely administer all of AV's medications per MD/PCP orders. AV takes narcotic pain medication 15 mg twice a day and has a PRN for narcotic pain medication 15 mg as necessary two times per day. On or about March 21, 2025, AV missed two doses of the scheduled narcotic pain medication. AV didn't have any scheduled or PRN narcotic pain medication left. AV was in pain and was sent to the emergency room for evaluation and pain medication. The facility failure to provide a safe medication administration system, have a supply of AVs medication in stock and administer medication as ordered, resulted in AV being in pain and transported to the emergency room, which is a violation of resident rights is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
