Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure Alleged Victim's (AV) narcotic pain medication was available to administer as ordered. An investigation determined that AV missed seven (7) doses of his/her narcotic pain medication between June 16, 2019 and June 17, 2019 due to AV's narcotic medication not being available. The facility's failure to provide a safe medication administration system caused AV unreasonable discomfort which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The allegation that Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) failed to administer AV's medication as ordered was investigated and determined no wrongdoing by AP2.
