Findings: Witness 1 (W1) was receiving one on one care due to agitation and a resident to resident incident that occurred earlier in the morning. Staff providing one on one care had to leave to go to a meeting. W1 approached Alleged Victim (AV) with a picture frame in his/her hand. AV yelled for W1 to get away. W1 struck AV in the head and stomach causing AV unreasonable discomfort. The facility failed to provide a safe environment which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP20-00305 $338.00 fine assessed
