Findings: Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) wrongfully took narcotic medication belonging to and intended for Alleged Victim's (AV) use. On or about October 11, 2019, AP2 signed the packing slip and delivery receipt for AV's narcotic medication delivered by the pharmacy. An investigation determined that AP2 was unable to account for AV's medication after it was delivered to the facility. AP2's action is considered financial exploitation. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for AV due to facility being unable to account for AV's narcotic medication after it was delivered to the facility. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The allegation that Alleged Perpetrator 3 (AP3) financially exploited AV was investigated and findings were inconclusive.
