Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) was a known fall risk. AV was on short term monitoring for increased confusion due to UTI symptoms. On or about November 21, 2019, AV experienced two falls. After the second fall AV complained of hip pain and was sent to the hospital and diagnosed with a fractured hip. The facility failed to care plan appropriately for AV's known history of falls, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-00296 $500.00 fine assessed
