Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure Alleged Victim's (AV) physician orders were followed. An investigation determined that due to the medication data entry error on or about October 14, 2019, AV was not administered the correct number of dosages of Lasix as ordered by AV’s physician. Also, facility was unable to verify with documentation that AV was administered the correct units of insulin between October 14, 2019 and December 4, 2019. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-00365 $375.00 fine assessed
