Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) requires assistance from the facility with his/her health management. AV has an order for wraps on his/her legs to be applied in the morning and removed every evening. Documentation indicates the application and removing of wraps was not consistently being completed. On or about December 2, 2019, facility staff observed AV had developed pain and blisters to his/her right lower leg. Facility staff applied general first aide by cleansing the wounds and applying a bandage and started short term monitoring for changes such as pus-like drainage, increase of pain and swelling. On or about December 6, 2019, AV's medical provider visited AV and found the wound to be foul smelling and infected. The facility did not change AV's bandages from the initial application and did not observe and/or document any changes to the condition of AV's wounds. The facility failed to provide appropriate skin care which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
