Findings: The facility failed to follow the Alleged Victim's (AV) care plan to to have protective gloves on him/her to keep him/her from getting bruises and skin tears. On or about December 11, 2019, staff were unaware of how to keep AV safe when his/her only pair of gloves were being washed. AV sustained bruises to his/her arms and hands. The facility failed to inform staff how to protect AV's arms and hands while gloves were being washed, as there was not a second pair of gloves, nor was there a plan in place of how to protect AV. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP20-00420 $450.00 fine assessed
