Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on staff for medication administration. From approximate December 18, 2019 through January 2, 2020, the facility did not administer AV's scheduled narcotic pain medication due to the facility not requesting refills timely. AV has an as needed pain medication and relies on facility staff to interpret non verbal signs of pain. AV was not administered his/her as needed pain medication while out of his/her regularly scheduled pain medication. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP20-00320 $250.00 fine assessed
