Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. On or about January 6, 2020, AV returned to the facility from rehabilitation. AV’s physician ordered AV to have a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication once a day. AV’s MAR indicated nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication PRN. AV missed six (6) does of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication. The facility failed to administer medication as ordered, which is a violation of resident rights is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00270 $188.00 fine assessed
