Findings: The facility failed to provide Alleged Victim (AV) with a safe medication administration system. On or about, February 11, 2020, AV's physician prescribed AV with a new blood pressure medication. An investigation determined that the facility did not update AV's Medication Administration Record (MAR) correctly, causing AV to go without his/her blood pressure medication for a total of nine dosages before the facility corrected the error. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-00442 $500.00 fine assessed
