Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to manage his/her medications including administration and ordering. On or about February 16th, February 17th, February 18th, and February 19, 2020, AV was not administered his/her blood thinning medication. The facility did follow the usual steps to acquire the medication on time however the facility failed to follow through with ensuring that the medication was recieved by February 16, 2020, so that AV did not miss any doses. On February 19, 2020, the facility did make the decision to acquire the medication for AV and pay for the medication to help prevent AV from being without it another day. The facility failed to ensure a medication was available which put AV at risk for serious harm, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
