Findings: On or about February 16, 2020, Alleged Victim (AV) reported that the locked drawer in his/her room was not working properly. Staff assisted AV with looking at the lock and confirmed the lock was not functioning properly. Staff reported the issue on the maintenance log but failed to put AV's room number on the log sheet. In the evening AV reported missing money from his/her locked drawer. The money was taken by an unknown staff member, Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2). AP2's actions are considered financial exploitation and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to protect AV from financial exploitation, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
