Findings: Witness 1 (W1) had a history of aggressive behavior and wandering into other resident rooms. On or about March 25, 2020, W1 entered Alleged Victim’s (AV) room and they were involved in an altercation, resulting in AV sustaining a skin injury to his/her face. W1's care plan was not updated to address interventions for his/her aggressive behavior. The facility’s failure to implement interventions and appropriately care plan related to W1’s behaviors and failure to provide a safe environment for AV are a violation of resident rights, are considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP20-00365 $375.00 fine assessed
