Findings: On or about April 7, 2020, Alleged Victim (AV) went to the hospital and was diagnosed with severe perineal contact dermatitis and hypokalemia. When AV was presented to the hospital, AV's brief was filled to capacity with urine, fresh and dried feces, and dried feces was found on AV's thigh. An investigation determined that the facility's lack of incontinence care caused AV to develop a severe rash with excoriations that needed medical attention. The facility's failure to follow AV's care plan is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP20-00650 $1500.00 fine assessed
