Findings: The facility failed to provide appropriate care to the Alleged Victim (AV) when his/her pressure alarm went off alerting staff he/she was attempting to transfer. According to documentation, the facility was not staffed appropriately and could not provide assistance to AV. The failure resulted in AV experiencing an unwitnessed fall, causing him/her to be transported to the hospital and received stitches to his/her head, which is a violation of resident rights is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP20-00539 $1350.00 fine assessed
