Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) was care planned for the facility to provide medication administration. On or about May 1, 2020, it was discovered the facility was not administering AV's medications, and that AV was self-administering h/h own medication. AV did not take their mood stabilizing medication for several days as prescribed, resulting in AV experiencing emotional distress. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-00091 $250.00 fine assessed
