Findings: The facility failed to appropriately care plan for the Alleged Victim (AV) regarding his/her use of the transfer bar and how staff are to aid AV in letting go of the transfer bar. While assisting the AV, Alleged Perpetrator #2 (AP2) pried AV's fingers from the transfer pole, causing bruising to his/her fingers. AP2's actions are considered physical abuse. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP20-01133 $500.00 fine assessed
