Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) suffered a fall on or about June 1, 2020. On or about June 4, 2020, AV was observed with a golf-ball sized bump on the left of his/her forehead. On or about June 7, 2020, AV was observed as having bruising around both of his/her eyes. It is believed the injuries were sustained in separate incidents. Interventions were not put into place until on or about June 7, 2020. The facility failed to plan care and implement appropriate interventions to mitigate AV's risk of injury due to falls, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP20-01143 $375.00 fine assessed
