Findings: According to documentation the facility failed to follow the Alleged Victim’s (AV) care plan. AV’s care planned to have staff apply barrier cream after toileting. The failure resulted in AV not getting the barrier cream applied after toileting according to the Medication Administration Records for, On or about April - June, have no initials indicating the barrier cream was applied on AV. The failure resulted in AV experiencing pain and unreasonable discomfort. The facility failed to ensure care plans were followed, which is a violation of resident’s rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00338 $250.00 fine assessed
