Findings: The facility failed to intervene when the Alleged Victim (AV) experienced a change of condition. AV was known to have eye health concerns and has had eye drops since March 2020. On or about June 3, 2020 and June 12, 2020, AV's physician reached out to the facility to regarding AV's eyes, as information was given he/she had red eyes and yellow matter around his/her eyes. The facility failed to send AV out to the physician. On June 22, 202, AV was taken to the physician by his/her adult child and diagnosed with an eyelid infection and given antibiotics. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-00641 $1500.00 fine assessed
