Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) requires the facility's assistance with medication management. On or about July 3, 2020, the facility ran out of AV's blood pressure medication. AV went without his/her medication for approximately five days. AV's blood pressure was recorded to be out of range on several occasions and his/her primary care physician was not notified as directed in the MAR. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-00925 $375.00 fine assessed
