Findings: The facility failed to appropriately care for the Alleged Victim's (AV) skin issues and not ensuring his/her egg crate in his/her wheelchair was positioned correctly to aid in the comfort of AV and preventing wounds on his/her bottom. On or about July 17, 2020, AV was found to have a stage 2 wound on his/her bottom that had gone unnoticed by staff previously. The condition had worsened causing unreasonable discomfort. The failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-00810 $188.00 fine assessed
