Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) has a known history of wandering around the facility and is care planned for occasional forgetfulness needing redirection, and orientation to time and place. On or about July 22, 2020, the facility receives a call from law enforcement notifying them that an elderly resident was in a neighbors front yard laying down and asked if they were missing any residents. AV was unable to tell the neighbor or law enforcement any information to indicate where he/she was from. At the time of the call the facility was unaware of any missing residents however discovered the missing resident was AV. AV returned to the facility unharmed. The facility failed to provide a safe environment, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-01036 $250.00 fine assessed
